A type of temperature-sensitive controller that keeps the temperature below or above a specific value under normal operating conditions. It can also have devices set by the user.

In function, the thermostat generally stops the equipment under abnormal conditions, so its usage frequency is usually not high.

1. Rated current: The thermostat is the main circuit power switch in household water heaters and is a major current-carrying component. If its rated current is lower than that of the heating device, it can easily lead to contact damage during operation, such as: contact not closing or opening, overheating due to operational errors, or even the thermostat itself breaking.

2. Setpoint temperature: In simple terms, the setpoint temperature is the temperature at the sensor cap when the thermostat disconnects the power transformer. The selection of this setpoint temperature is very important; if set too high, it will not achieve the desired protective effect, and if set too low, it can easily lead to operational errors, causing inconvenience in use.

3. Circuit resistance: The circuit resistance of the thermostat is an inherent characteristic of electrical switch devices. The greater the circuit resistance, the more heat generated by the current flow. When the heat reaches a certain value, it can easily lead to damage to the thermostat or contact points.

The thermostat in household refrigerators causes the temperature sensor's gas volume to change when the refrigerator's temperature changes, leading to thermal expansion and contraction, which is connected to a diaphragm that expands or contracts.

The thermostat uses leverage to control the on/off state of the power switch, ensuring temperature control objectives. If it is a WG series liquid expansion thermostat, it also features temperature control, stability, small temperature difference between on and off, a wide range of temperature control adjustments, and high load current capacity.
